I love reading things that I wrote months ago. It always seems like it was written by someone else.
Just taking a break from unpacking. Maybe I can finally sleep in a bed tonight.

Come on Come on!
Just a real quick entry to give a shout out to Morgan Laurence, a musician on the rise. He's not a well known artist, but I really think it's his usage of the ukulele that really drew me to his music. Plus, he has a beautiful voice.
I can't stop listening to this song. It's so damn catchy. Check it.

Love Song
Total lack of updates due to my big move. I am officially moved from New York to North Carolina, however my mother is still in the process of moving so due to my inability to accept change and move on, I've decided to spend my remaining month in New York doing absolutely nothing to better myself and just enjoying the summer with my friends. But great summers like this don't come often so I need to take advantage of it. This summer for me can be defined for me in just one song. And I usually don't like comparing things in my life to lyrics of a song (because I'm not a 14 year old girl anymore) but I truly love the lyrics of this one.
Summertime Cloths by Animal Collective.
sweet summer night and I'm stripped to my sheets
forehead is leaking - my ac squeaks
and a voice from the clock says "you're not gonna get tired"
my bed is a pool and the wall's on fire
soak my head in the sink for a while
chills on my neck and it makes me smile
but, my bones have to move and my skins gotta breath
you pick up the phone and I'm so relieved
you slide down your stairs to the eager street
and the sun has left us with slippery feet
and i want to walk around with you
and i want to walk around with you
and be here with you
it doesn't really matter I'll go where you feel
Home for the breeze, get a midnight meal
I point in the windows as you point out the parks
rip off your sleeves and I'll ditch my socks
dance to the songs from the cars as they pass
move through the cardboard, smell that trash
walkin' around in our summertime clothes
know where to go while our bodies go
and we'll greet the dawn in it's morning blues
with purple yawns you'll be sleepin' soon
and i want to walk around with you
and i want to walk around with you
when the sun goes down we'll go out again (x16)
don't cool off, i like your warmth
Let's leave the sound of the heat for the sound of the rain
It's easy to sleep when it wets my brain
It covers my rest with a saccharine sheen
Kissing the wind through my window screen
But restless is causeless and I cannot hide
So much on my mind that it spills outside
Do you wanna go stroll down a financial street?
Our clothes might get soaked
But the building's sleep
And there's no one pushing for a place
As we enter at an easy pace
And I want to walk around with you (x2)
I want to walk around with you (x4)
Just you, just you, just you, just you (x4)
I adore this song because it's rare to find a love song that doesn't have the word "love". Summer is almost over. Enjoy it. <3
